Definition

  • Blinky Bill is both the title and protagonist of a series of classic children's books by New Zealand-born Australian author-illustrator Dorothy Wall in the 1930s. Though the first book has passed into the public domain, all three books—Blinky Bill: The Quaint Little Australian, Blinky Bill and Nutsy, and Blinky Bill Grows Up—have remained in print for over 70 years, as well as inspiring television series and computer games.
