  • Brazil is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world, with a “continental” length; biomes such as the Amazon Rainforest in the north, the Atlantic Forest along the coast, and the Cerrado (Brazilian savannah) in the central part of the country; and megalopolises with over 5 million people. There are over 190 million inhabitants distributed in these different regions, most of them living in urbanized areas and large cities such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Brasília, the nation's capital.
