Communications Decency Act
Definition
- The law has had a particularly difficult time dealing with pornography, obscenity, and indecency on the Internet. Congress has made several attempts to pass legislation that would keep improper materials away from children, including the Communications Decency Act in 1996 and the Child Online Protection Act in 1998.
