Mexican American students

Definition

  • Mexican American students have a long and important presence in the educational system of the United States, particularly in the Southwest. The first large wave of Mexican migration to the United States began in the 1890s and has since steadily contributed to the American landscape, making them the largest immigrant group both historically and presently.
