  • Amphetamines (and amphetamine-like substances) are also known as analeptics, sympathomimetics, and psychostimulants. Amphetamine salts, including dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine), methamphetamine (Desoxyn), lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse), dextroamphetamine mixed-salts (Adderall), and methylphenidate (Ritalin) are commonly prescribed (and abused) medications.
