  • Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common nerve injury in the upper extremity and one of the most common nerve injuries overall. It is an injury to the median nerve at the wrist, initially causing numbness, tingling, or painful sensations in the thumb, index, middle, and half of the ring fingers.
