citizenship education in Asia

Definition

  • Greater attention has been paid to Asia in recent decades because of its rising economy, its increased participation in world affairs, and because many of the countries in Asia rank high in many international comparative studies of educational achievements, such as the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement's (IEA's) Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD's) Program for International Student Assessment.
