  • Couple therapy refers to a diverse set of interventions provided to partners in an intimate relationship; it is intended to reduce various aspects of relationship distress and promote relationship satisfaction and well-being. Couple therapy typically is provided to partners in conjoint sessions (i.e., both partners meeting simultaneously with the same therapist).
