  • Despite the enormous and well-proven benefits of childhood immunization and the widespread availability of vaccines in the United States, many children and adolescents are still not fully immunized. One of the goals of the U.S. national health objectives Healthy People 2020 is to achieve full immunization of 90% of young children with the universally recommended vaccines.
