  • Intergenerational equity (ie) broadly refers to theories, principles, laws, and economic models concerned with the issue of equity and fairness to future generations. IE emphasizes that future generations have a right to at least the same general level of ecological, cultural, and economic resources enjoyed by preceding generations.
