Preferred term

international alcohol advertising

Definition

  • All over the world, public health organizations promote restrictions on alcohol advertising because of the potential negative health consequences of alcohol consumption. Health organizations are especially worried about the effects of advertising on minors, and, according to them, much advertising is especially directed toward young people because the alcohol industry needs to recruit new drinkers.
