  • During the past 40 years, considerable variation has occurred in the worldwide definition of school violence. However, within the last 10 years, international scholars have agreed the term school violence embraces a broad array of deliberate behaviors intended to cause detriment physically and/or emotionally to students, staff, and property, on or near school grounds.
