Definition
- Does the quality of the relationships leaders have with their followers matter for the leaders' success? Are some types of relationships more beneficial for leadership than others? If I have a bad relationship with my leader, what does that mean for my future as a follower? These are the kinds of questions asked in relational leadership approaches. Relational approaches study the quality of the relationships that leaders have with their followers and how these relationships influence behavior and effectiveness.
