role of the media in Argentinian democratization process
Definition
- Democracy returned to Argentina in 1983 after many interruptions of the constitutional system during the 20th century, culminating with the last military dictatorship (1976–1983). The media have had a limited influence on the process of transition to democracy, mainly because they worked under censorship.
