Definition
- The structural choice theory of victimization was first proposed by Terance Miethe and Robert Meier in 1990. It incorporates elements of the routine activities and opportunity perspectives on victimization, and it recognizes the importance of interaction between the variables typically included in empirical tests of their hypotheses.
