  • Despite the belief that the United States has been in the midst of a dire teacher shortage, research validates that enough teachers are being prepared, but that they are misdistributed or leave shortly after hire. Recruitment refers to the methods by which traditional and alternative programs find candidates for teacher certification or employment.
