Definition
- Many of the early “first-generation” studies on homelessness—cross-sectional studies seeking a better descriptive sense of who the contemporary homeless are, what their needs are, and whether those needs are being met—collected data on history of homelessness but did so only with regard to current episodes of homelessness.
