Definition
- Asian Americans represent more than 28 subgroups who share common ethnic origins in Asia and who share similar physical appearances and cultural values. Some Asian Americans immigrated to the United States in the late 19th century and early 20th century, while other more recent immigrants or refugees arrived after the 1965 Immigration Reform Act.
