Prometheus Radio Project
Definition
- Founded in 1998 by a small group of ambitious former micro-radio/low-power radio operators in Philadelphia, the Prometheus Radio Project is part of a larger, national movement working against corporate media consolidation. Prometheus's drive is to create an inclusive and representative media system and to help marginalized communities use legal means to gain access to the airwaves.
