Definition
- Gender gap is a catch-all phrase that refers to the existence and significance of gender differences in a variety of areas. Scholars, researchers, and analysts speak of a gender gap in employment and earnings, in education, in workplace authority, in leadership, and in opportunities available over the course of one's life, not to mention attendant social attitudes.
