Definition
- Intersubjectivity is a concept used to describe the space of shared understanding, or common ground, between persons wherein people, as individual subjects, collaboratively create and share meaning. Originally central to the philosophy of phenomenology, the concept of intersubjectivity is also central to a number of other fields, including dialogic philosophy, hermeneutics, pragmatics, sociology, linguistics, and communication.
