  • Sheikh Ahmed Salim Swedan (aka Ahmed the Tall; Sheikh Ahmad Salem Suweidan) was alleged to have bought both trucks used in the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. For his role in the bombings, which killed 224 people, he was placed on the FBI's list of “most wanted terrorists,” where he stayed until his death in 2009.
