Women, Food and Agriculture Network
Definition
- The Women, Food and Agriculture Network (WFAN) was formed in 1997, in central Iowa, with the mission of linking and amplifying women's voices on issues of food systems, sustainable communities, and environmental integrity. The resolve of the founders was grounded in concern that women are not heard even though they bring valuable experience and knowledge to bear on systemic problems in agriculture and rural communities.
