coalition building
Definition
- Coalition building is the process of developing working relationships among individuals, groups, organizations, or nations for the purposes of mobilizing collective action, sharing information, coordinating communication efforts, or using any combination of these functions. Coalitions are a type of an alliance; however, unlike alliances, such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), members frequently organize coalitions for short-term purposes.
