Definition
- Introduction Assessment was introduced in psychology as part of the scientific methodology applied to the study of mental and behavioural processes. Evaluation, both in quantitative and qualitative terms, was needed in order to fulfil the scientific aspiration to determine, measure and evaluate all phenomena involved in that research, and turning into a measurable form those elements not yet quantified (Pearson).
