Preferred term
kinkeeping
Definition
- Kinkeeping, in most of the related research, has been defined as keeping in touch with family members and/or keeping family members in touch with one another. Occasionally, kinkeeping has been more broadly defined to include providing tangible assistance to family members (e.g., helping with tasks such as household chores), but this definition seems too broad.
