media effects on family environment
Definition
- Two noticeable evolutions in research on media effects on the family environment are (a) a shift from a television perspective to an emphasis on the changing media environment and (b) a shift from a childcentered approach to a family approach. The first evolution is a very slow one that sheds light on a problematic issue in effects research.
