Definition
- Natural law is a moral theory about the principles that underlie the duties and rights of free human persons; it also serves as moral grounding for human behavior. The concept is based on two key ideas: first, that the origins of human morality lie in a description of what human persons are by nature, and, second, that this moral law is discoverable by the light of human reason alone.
