new reproductive technologies
Definition
- Scientific advances in reproductive medicine have given hope to many individuals and couples around the world, as new reproductive technologies have considerably expanded reproductive options for women and men of reproductive age who are unable to conceive naturally. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine generally refers to these technologies, also known as assisted reproductive technologies, as all fertility treatments that involve the handling of eggs and/or embryos.
