Definition
- Sodomy has traditionally been defined in the law as unnatural carnal copulation by humans with each other or with an animal (the latter more commonly known as bestiality). The word is derived from the biblical city of Sodom, which was reportedly destroyed by God along with Gomorrah because of the wickedness of its citizens.
