stratified reproduction
Definition
- Stratified reproduction posits that certain categories of people in a society are encouraged or coerced to reproduce and parent, but others are not. This theory suggests that the capacity to control one's reproductive abilities is unequally distributed in society and is stratified along gender, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic, and economic class lines.
